On my last blog I had a list on the sidebar titled, 100 things about me. Since it is not longer here, I am starting over. Some might think it strange that a person would list things about themselves for the whole world to see. It was an exercise from long ago, about trust. Seeing how much of yourself you could share with the world.
1. I wear many hats in my daily life. I am slave, I am mother, I am daughter, I am friend, I am sister, I am friend. All of those hats together, they complete, me.
2. I am mysterious, complex, simple, and eccentric.
3. I lost my virginity at 17.
4. I had my first child at 18.
5. I became a widow for the first time at 52.
6. I love cliches, quotes and deep meanings.
7. I love dominant men. Men who are not afraid to show the world who they are, but in that dominance, a gentleness also.
8. I don't do subtle well, I need it all out there, laid out like a blanket.
9. I am afraid of the dark.
10. My favorite attire is leggings and baggy shirts in the winter, and in the summer, flowing sundresses.
11. I am insecure at times.
12. I am shy at times.
13. I write dark poetry.
14. I have five children.
15. My favorite color is purple.
16. I believe in God.
17. I love passionately, but must have trust.
18. Family to me is the most important.
19. I still believe in love.
20. I was voted in high school, the most likely to succeed.
21. I suffer PTSD, and panic attacks.
22. My laughter is open, my tears are protected.
23. I sleep with a blankie that I have since I was a baby.
24. I don't believe in soul mates, but I believe that souls can mate.
25. I hate liars. And refuse to tolerate them.
26. I am judgmental in refusing to back down from my beliefs.
27. I have never made but once the first move with a man.
28. I love to flirt, and think it is an art form.
29. I smoke too much.
30. I have a habit of being brutally blunt at times and at others way too polite.
31. I love possessive men.
32. I love reading blogs; it is like looking into someone's medicine cabinet, and snooping around.

34. My toes are always painted, and my favorite polish is red.
35. My favorite scent is vanilla and patchouli.
36. My grandmother is my hero. May she rest in peace.
37. I love chocolate and dark Dove promises are my favorite.
38. My favorite movie is "Gone with the Wind.
39. I need to love in order to kiss with passion.
40. I love flip-flops.

42. I am writing the All American Novel, with a twist.
43. I still believe in the USA and the Flag that flies above.
44. I have a bitch side, but also a very soft side.
45. I am a survivor of abuse.

49. I need friends. Boy that sounded desperate, but what I mean is, I need my friends.
50. Turning 30 was the hardest age so far, well that was until I reached 50 and had to get bifocals.
51. I am a liberal.
52. My nickname was "Zipper" in younger years, a guy told me if I stood sideways and stuck out my tongue, I would look just like a zipper. How I wish for those skinny days.
53. The only thing about gaining weight in my thyroid condition, I finally got larger boobs.
54. My favorite food is my mother's gravy over mashed potatoes and slices of white bread.
55. I would rather have paper and pens, journals and books than jewelry as a gift.
56. I collect rocks and soap. I know how odd, soap as a collection. But that in itself tells a story.
57. I am an oxymoron; I am independent, and co-dependent. (Have fun figuring that one out.)
58. I write sometimes in riddles, but speak in structure. I babble, but yet I make sense to myself.

61. Since I was young I have wanted to change my name to "Laurie", no last name, and no middle name, just me. But does that take away from my past, and my legacy.

65. I love big baggie hoodies, and once I issued a challenge to a man that I was involved with. He asked what I wanted for Christmas, I told him a hoodie that had a word, or a logo on it that summed me up. Instead of a hoodie, he bought me a sweater. Which said it all.
66. The next year my children bought me a hoodie, "Mc'D's Mom." And they got it right.
67. I collect memories in my journals, because I fear one day I may grow old and forget them, but not for me, because I want to share them when I am gone.
68. When I die, I want to be remembered for what I did in a person's life, not for what I didn't do.

70. In my 30's I subscribed to, "Cosmopolitan", and now in my 50's, I subscribe to, "Country Living."
71. Make me fall in love and it may just last a lifetime, make me fall in love and it may just last for a moment. I am not fickle; I just think there are many levels of love.

74. I have had many nicknames over the years, Gypsy, Laur, and so many more, but I have to say my favorite is, "Mine."
75. I am a Christian, but yet I do not believe in organized religion.
76. I believe in the natural order, that men should be men, and women should be women.
77. I am very elusive, and have many walls up.
78. I often wonder if anyone will ever be able to tear them down.

83. I don't have time to play head games, but I love mind-fucks.
84. The worse form of punishment to me, being ignored. Ignore me too long and I will just go away.
85. The worse form of criticism to me, telling someone you love them, and you know they do not mean it.
86. I am not policitcal, but I vote.
87. I need structure in my daily life, or it doesn't work.
88. I do not believe in abortion.
89. I think when people are charged with abuse, it should be a felony.
90. I do not believe in the death sentence.
91. I am scared to live alone.

93. I am afraid of getting old and losing my capacites.
94. I hate socks.
95. I wear an old ratty bathrobe, and leave the pretty ones for special occasions.
96. I am old-fashioned.
97. I can be new-age at times.
98. My core beliefs are very old school.
99. I have many secrets.
100. What else can I say, these are the things I am willing to share, as I said I have many secrets, and am a very private person.
